MOUNTAIN MANOR
Mountain Manor draws on the architectural language of a family Victorian home—white lap siding, stacked radius porches, bay windows, and a formal entry—without reproducing it literally. A clipped kitchen bay creates a built-in banquette, while repeated diagonal geometry, defined rooms, framed views, and quiet transitions give the new residence a clear contemporary identity. Because the original home belonged to the grandmother of both client and architect, the project carries that family legacy forward through continuity rather than nostalgia.
RIVER TERRACE
Along the Flathead River, River Terrace recasts the plainspoken form of an early settler barn for contemporary living. Clean lines and a durable metal shell are softened by warm cedar, connecting a robust modern home to the region’s building heritage and the river landscape.
frAme
Near Lake Tahoe in the Nevada Sierra, frAme reinterprets the classic A-frame as a compact four-season retreat. A steep roof, warm natural materials, and expansive glazing balance shelter and openness while grounding the house in its alpine setting.
A MEMORIAL
An Intervention at Bryant’s Grocery Store is a schematic memorial proposal for the Money, Mississippi site where 15-year-old Emmett Till’s 1955 encounter with Carolyn Bryant preceded his murder. The design asks architecture to hold the history of that place and confront the injustice surrounding Till’s death.
BELLA VISTA
The Bella Vista Historical Museum addition brings an extensive collection of artifacts and documents—and a full-size settler cabin—into one cohesive setting. Rustic and contemporary elements frame the cabin as both exhibit and anchor, creating a warm new home for local history and community memory.
TALL WALL
TALL Wall is the result of an iterative interior-design process: vision, planning, testing, feedback, and precise refinement. Each pass brings the details closer to the client’s goals and intended atmosphere, producing a cohesive interior shaped by careful adjustment rather than a single gesture.
TRANQUIL 8
On the shores of Flathead Lake, Tranquil 8 is a detached eight-home retreat designed for traveling medical practitioners. Each 700-square-foot cabin pairs thoughtful interiors with lake views, creating a calm place to recover between demanding shifts.
M6
In Polson, Montana, M6 organizes six three-level townhomes across two detached buildings. A modular system gives each rental residence its own identity, while regionally informed materials, custom details, extensive casework and storage, and integrated banquette seating bring the care of a permanent home to an upscale rental community.
Fay Flats
Conceptual multi-family flats in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
PLANTILEVER
Part planter, part bench, Plantilever brings seating and greenery into urban or interior settings. Crafted as a comfortable resting place for passersby, the compact piece adds a living accent to spaces that can otherwise feel hard or colorless.
THE NEW OLD
The New Old transforms an existing building on Veterans Avenue in Sisseton, South Dakota, into a public parklet. Working with what is already there, the project creates a distinct setting for social exchange and civic renewal.
